Veil Cover Cream Tattoo Camouflage Kit Review*

Hey Beauties!
I was recently sent the Tattoo Camouflage Kit from the people at Veil Cover Cream to try out. I haven't had much luck with super pigmented concealers because a lot of the time i find them really thick and cakey but i didn't find that with Veil yes it is pigmented but it isnt cakey

What's in the Tattoo Camouflage Kit

The kit contains a stacker of 5 cover creams, a loose translucent powder which is waterproof, a cleansing cream for cleaning up the area before applying the cover creams a toner to get rid of excess oils, a mixing pot, spatulas and a powder brush

Colour and Pigmentation

The Veil Cover Cream's are really pigmented that is one of the main reasons for use, its for people who have bad scarring, pigmentation or bad acne but this kit is used for Covering tattoo's I found these were extremely pigmented and covered a tattoo quite easily with a few layers. I covered one of my mums tattoos as a test id never covered a tattoo before so i don't think i did amazing but it does look covered, I think the key is colour correct first then cover it i used the green to cover the orange/red tones then went over it with a colour close to her skin tone

The stacker comes with 5 different colours this is the light to medium and there is a medium to dark, although i think the Light to medium is quite dark you could always mix the white concealer in the little jar provided with the lightest shade to match your skin tone

Wear Time

The wear time is supposed to last all day and is fully waterproof so it wont come off even if water gets on it, i used the cover cream on my mum and it lasted at least 5 hours of her walking about untill she took it off at 9pm when it had been applied at 4pm in the afternoon. When you apply the found it sets the cover cream and makes it even more waterpoof and so it doesn't transfer as it is quite emollient so once its set its not going anywhere until you remove it.

Packaging

Everyone knows im a sucker for good packaging and i love the way this kit is set out it has its on little zip bag for you to keep everything in, it has its own compartments too. I really like how the cover creams are packaged because they are all in the one stack and it is neat and tidy and really saves space so it would be perfect for you to carry around if you needed to

Price and Where to Buy

You can purchase the Tattoo Camouflage Kit from http://www.veilcovercream.com and the kit retials at £34.97 which i feel is a great deal because you get quite a lot of cover cream i use it to cover my mums tattoos and hardly used any.

The Good and The Bad

The Good?- They cover almost anything with ease
The Bad?- I wish the light kit was actually light as it is quite dark

Best of the BAFTA's 2013 Hair and Makeup

Hey Beauties!

I absolutely love awards ceremonies not for the actual awards hah but to see the makeup and the hair that is always amazing! i think its a really great basis for looks during the year.
My favourite looks for ceremonies always come from either Sarah Jessica Parker or Anne Hathaway  although i did prefer the longer hair on her.

This years BAFTA's was full of gorgeous smokey eyes and quite a lot of strong lips in particularly a classic red lip but some chose to opt for a more pink lip.

I absolutely loved the makeup that Lauren Whitmore wore it was really soft lips but quite sculpted in the face and defined eyes but overall quite dewy in places which is always a great thing!
You can get this look by using something like Illamasqua Skin Base for the Foundation, Tom Ford Cream for Eyes in Spice and Illamasqua Gel Liner for the eyes and No.7 lip pencil in Melon for the lips with a bit of Katie Blush from Illamasqua on the Cheeks

To be honest Sarah Jessica Parker kind of disappointed me she just looked really plain jane she had poker straight hair and her makeup wasnt much better either i think it actually accentuated the fact shes getting older the amount of black used on her eyes just made them look tiny and it just made her face look really old.

I loved the makeup of Jessica Chastain she looked really glamourous like old hollywood, she had the Veronica Lake wave going on which i think is totally timeless and really minimal makeup and to top it all off the best part the red lipstick i would recommend MAC Ruby Woo as the lipstick and maybe a little clear gloss

Anne Hathaway wore a gorgeous yet simple black liner with a flick and neutral eyes but she opted for a soft velvety pink lip like MAC Pink Nouveau  you could say it was a modern take on the classic red carpet look

What were your favourite looks this year?
What would you wear to the BAFTA's?

New Products from bareMinerals

Hey Beauties!
Last week i had the pleasure of  being invited along to the bareMinerals Boutique in Glasgow to learn about the new products they have to offer.
bareMinerals is not something i usually use but was pleasantly surprised at what they had in the way of products

I had a look at the new products and hard a little about the new Moxie Collection from bareMinerals coming out soon. I really like the look of the new concealers that have recently came out the SPF 20 Correcting Concealer product is a great product because it has SPF so it protects you from the sun but also has a lightweight coverage so it has coverage but doesnt feel cakey its for those of you with darker undereye circles as if you just wanted brightening under the eyes you could use the Stroke of Light Eye Brightener which conceals but brightens as well and defuses dark shadows under the eyes. What i liked best about these was the fact they will correct your undereyes as well they say that over time the condition of your darkcircles will get better.

I had also gotten a chance to see the new Prime Time Neutralising Primer which was a yellow based product used for neutralising the discoloration on the skin and evening out the the skin tone, for me personally this wasnt one of my favourite products as it did make the skin look quite yellow which to me isnt the best too also it cant be used on anyone with a cool undertone because if you have yellow toned skin and you use this you will just go somewhat resembling Jaundice which isnt a good look but there was another product that i really did like and they reminded me of the CKone Glossy lipsticks. The Loud and Clear Lip Sheer which are limited edition I really liked these because they were a sheer gel based lipstick containing shea butter and jojoba seed oil to keep the lips super moisturised but also have a bit of colour to them

What are your favourite bareMinerals Products?
Are you looking forward to Moxie?

Escentual #MicellarBlindTrial

Hey Beauties!
I thought i would do a post on this because it was something that excited me. We have all heard of cleansing waters mostly from Bioderma but now there are quite a lot of brands that are offering these which are called "Micellar Water" which is bascially a really gentle yet powerful makeup remover.

Escentual invited 100 makeup lovers to do their blind test where we will be testing out 7 different Micellar makeup removers and seeing which one we like best but we also have to talk about them there different categories such as cleansing power, pleasure of use, reactivity, moisture balance, bottom line, and your favourite.

The trial is open for 2 weeks so in that time we have to test these and come out with which one we like best. I really like the idea of this because we get to try some out but we dont know which is which so i guess we arnt tempted by labels as there are quite a few great brands like Dior, La Roche Posay, Bioderma, Caudalie,   Vichy etc

I was going to do another post at the end of the 2 weeks and just tell you what i thought and what my opinions were on each of them and maybe i will find out which one i liked best.

What do you think of Micellar Removers?
Do you use any?

Organic Skincare by Ali Mac Review*

Hey Beauties!

I got given these products a while ago and im only just getting around to doing a review, you all know you have to give time for products like skin care work before reviewing.

Im not one who will usually go out my way to go and find organic things because what i use just now is fine, im not too worried about this whole paraben business but that aside these are quite good products in my opinion

Ive been using the Facial Polish and the Cleaning Melt for a while now and i have noticed a difference in my skin, I really like the Facial Polish because its really gentle and lately my skin has been quite weird and sensitive but with these products i am having no bother. The Facial Polish is quite a cool product because it feels like sugar thats in it and when i checked on the website thats what was in it, apparently it works like any other normal exfoliation but promotes hydration and moisture as well.

The Cleansing Melt is a product i was quite new too because it looked rather weird in the tub but its a really great cleaning balm i guess you could call it, its great at removing all of your makeup as well as just cleansing the skin all of the nasties. It has a really weird texture as well in the tub it feels quite thick i can only compare it to the texture of Doctor Feel Good from Benefit but once you massage it in you get these really nice soft clear texture. If you have oily skin maybe the cleansing melt might not be for you because its an oil based product containing linoleic and oleic fatty acids.

The part a lot of people might like about these products are they are free from Parabens, Silicons, Pthalates
and Mineral Oils.
Overall i think they are quite good product but as they are more specialist products they are a bit more expensive than your average product the Cleaning Melt is £22.50 and the Facial Polish is £20.50 both contain 50g of product
You can purchase these products from http://www.alimacskincare.com

The Good and The Bad

The Good?- They would be great for people needing something for sensitive skin and
someone who wants natural products
The Bad?- The scent from the products can be a little overpowering
